We are currently working to establish gardens at two of the schools we support. The aim of the schools is for these gardens to provide a bountiful supply of nutritious food that will supplement the diets of the learners. Land adjoining the schools has already been fenced off to keep animals out and we are now in the process of connecting to local water supplies from which water tanks can be filled and used to irrigate the dry land. The next step will be to prepare the soil for planting through the addition of fertilisers and pesticides as well as organic matter. It is our plan to sow the first seeds before the end of 2025. We then expect that the land will provide three harvests each year.
